this salad is really based on a really great dressing i recently discovered. it's krafts asian sesame dressing.
i threw in some chow mein noodles, mandarin oranges and cucumbers. there is also some puffed tofu in there
that i bought out of curiosity that didn't really make the cut. it was kinda oily so next time i am going to
bake some marinated tofu for the salad.


please post any delicious salad ideas you have!

If you slice the puffed tofu thinly, it's really good in miso soup!

You know that marinated vegetable salad in grocery store delis that costs an arm and a leg for a small container? Baby vegetables + italian salad dressing. Except instead of just sticking carrots, broccoli and cauliflower in mine, I stick snow peas, bell peppers, cucumber and anything that looks good and fresh.

Broccoli slaw, sunflower seeds, golden rasins, chunks of apple and grapes with a slightly sweet dressing tastes nice. Just don't go too sweet on the dressing, unless you use a tangy apple like Granny Smith. If you want more crunch, you can add celery.

funny, i tried that puffed tofu for the first time today as well with some asian noodles and bell peppers with plum and chili sauce and yeah, it was a little weird :P

I really like puffed tofu, but I tend to marinate it in coconut milk before adding it to stir fries or green curry and things like that.
